SUMMARY:
China's air pollution has now caught wind and drifted over to Korea and Japan. This is causing a halt in life, including jobs, and lots of people are not allowed to go outside because the air pollution is up to 50 times more dangerous than the air quality the the World Health Organization deems safe. People are told to quit their jobs and relocate to the country, and the pollution will only get worse when the Chinese burn coal to heat their homes for the winter.
RESPONSE:
I think this is ridiculous. The fact that Chinese are having a colossal impact at other countries because of the huge amount of pollution they're producing is ridiculous. The fact that they can have their pollution be in the air for hundreds of miles and for it to affect other countries, making the air quality 50 times worse than the deemed 'safe' pollution, is scary, and it needs to be regulated.
TIES:
This article ties in with the culture of the country because the country had to change their daily lifestyle and habits, most likely postponing their holidays and regular religious habits because of such horrible conditions. This article shows what is blocking the Japanese culture. It also shows how people are reacting to this, and their take on such a bad time.
